Purpose
The Victorian Planning Authority is an incorporated statutory authority established under Section 4 of the Victorian Planning Authority Act 2017.
Section 8 of the Act establishes the functions of the Authority. The functions of the Authority in brief, are to provide advice and assistance to the Minister, and Councils and public sector bodies on planning the use, development and protection of land in Victoria; to perform any other function under this Act, the Planning and Environment Act 1987 or any other enactment.
