Purpose
Under section 172D of the Act, the functions of the Commission are to;
(a) perform the regulatory, investigative and disciplinary functions conferred on the Commission by or under the Act and the regulations; and
(b) undertake licensing, approval, authorisation and registration activities under the Act and the regulations; and
(c) promote and monitor compliance with the Act and the regulations; and
(d) detect and respond to contraventions of the Act and the regulations; and
(e) advise the Minister in relation to the Commission's functions under the Act and the regulations; and
(f) advise the Minister on the operation of the Act and the regulations; and
(g) ensure that government policy in relation to liquor is implemented; and
(h) inform and educate the public about the Commission's regulatory practices and requirements.
