About the board

Racing Victoria is the governing body of the Victorian thoroughbred racing industry with a charter to encourage broad participation and sustainably grow racing's economic and social value.

About the role

The role of the Board is to set the strategy for the organisation, ensure sound corporate governance, monitor operational and financial performance, and provide transparency to Racing Victoria’s Members and broader industry stakeholders. In order to achieve its goals, the Board seeks to maintain an appropriate balance of skills and a diversity of perspectives.

Who we're looking for

To be considered for this one Non-Executive Director position you will bring significant commercial and strategic expertise to the Board, an understanding of the media landscape, as well as have enthusiasm for the long-term success of Victorian thoroughbred racing. You will have unquestioned integrity, a demonstrated commitment to the highest standards of governance, proven complex stakeholder engagement skills and a good conceptual and practical appreciation of the legal, ethical, and equine welfare issues involved with thoroughbred racing in Victoria.

You must also have the ability to consider the views and needs of all Racing Victoria Members, broader industry stakeholders, racing customers, and ultimately a capacity to be part of a Board that makes decisions in the best overall interests of Victorian thoroughbred racing.
