About the board

In October 2019, Solar Victoria established the Industry and Consumer Reference Group (ICRG)External Link to provide input on the effective delivery of the Solar Homes Program and the sustainable development of the solar industry in Victoria.

The ICRG provides advice on industry aspects including safety and quality matters, associated standards, consumer protections and customer experiences, technology and future grid requirements, skills and workforce development, product stewardship and other matters relevant to the Victorian solar industry.

With the ICRG now entering its fourth year of operation, it has effectively demonstrated Solar Victoria's commitment to working closely with the solar industry and Victorian consumers.

For more information about the ICRG please visit the Solar Victoria websiteExternal Link .

About the role

Solar Victoria is pleased to invite applications in response to our new Expressions of Interest (EOI) which is seeking to fill up to eight positions. Successful members are appointed by the Minister for Solar Homes to represent both industry and consumers in the Victorian solar market.

The appointed ICRG members must commit to attending regular meetings (every two months or a different frequency depending on requirements) and in the case of industry representatives, it is expected that members will consult widely with their networks in the industry to help inform the Solar Homes Program rebate streams and other programs managed by Solar Victoria.

Solar Victoria is looking to select a balanced group of members to ensure diverse representation encompassing:

  • Small, medium, and large retailers
  • Rural, regional, and metro areas
  • Gender & age diversity
  • Cultural diversity
  • Installers
