Homes Victoria Advisory Board

The Homes Victoria Advisory Board (Board) is established under section 11A of the Housing Act 1983. The Board provides strategic advice to the Minister for Housing and the Chief Executive Officer, Homes Victoria in relation to:

• the long term strategic direction of Homes Victoria
• the financial performance and stability of Homes Victoria;
• strategic risks and opportunities and approaches to social housing and affordable housing;
• the corporate plan and performance indicators of Homes Victoria; and
• any other matter referred to the Advisory Board by the Minister.

The Board strengthens and enhances Homes Victoria's governance and oversight mechanisms. The Board is independent, accountable to the Minister for Housing and steers development of Homes Victoria's Corporate Plan in alignment with the organisation's commitment to greater transparency and accountability.

The Minister for Housing is seeking expressions of interest for roles on the Board, including the Chair and Members. The term of appointment commences on 11 May 2023 for a period of two years with possibility of reappointment.

The Chair and Members should have a mix of knowledge, skills and/or experience pertaining to:

• social housing and affordable housing;
• construction, property and infrastructure development;
• finance, audit and risk;
• community sector leadership and management; and
• architecture and planning;
