About the board
Victorian Rail Track (VicTrack) is a public entity established under the Transport Integration Act 2010 and is the custodial owner of rail-related transport land, infrastructure, and assets in Victoria. The VicTrack Board is responsible for overseeing the organisation's affairs, with all members being appointed by the Governor in Council. Find out more at .
New members are sought to join the VicTrack Board as Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson and as Directors.
About the role
These are paid, part-time, Victorian Government appointments based in Melbourne. Candidates can be appointed for terms of up to three years and are eligible for re-appointment. The Board meets monthly at the VicTrack offices in Docklands. Hybrid arrangements may be organised by request. Who we're looking for
People keen to bring their skills and experience to help VicTrack continue to effectively manage Victoria’s transport assets and meet Victoria’s transport goals should apply.
Previous Board experience is not essential. What is more important is a passion for sustainable development, integrity, and organisational performance. Applications from Victorian Traditional Owners and emerging and community leaders are strongly encouraged. We are looking for people who will bringing expertise in a range of disciplines such as asset management, transport infrastructure development and delivery, telecommunications, real estate management, human resource management, stakeholder management, environmental management along with technical skills in areas such as engineering, legal, risk management, accounting and procurement will be highly regarded. Prior experience working in or with the public sector will be highly valued.
