AWAC is a non–statutory ministerial advisory committee, whose primary role and function is to advise the Minister for Agriculture on matters concerned with animal welfare in Victoria.
On behalf of the Minister for Agriculture, the Hon. Michaela Settle MP, the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is seeking expressions of interest for the position of chairperson of the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee (AWAC), for a term of up to 3 years.
AWAC is a non–statutory ministerial advisory committee, whose primary role and function is to advise the Minister for Agriculture on matters concerned with animal welfare in Victoria.
Applicants are required to have skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:
Candidates will also be able to demonstrate the following attributes: well developed leadership and interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, accountability, integrity, and the ability to incorporate community values and animal welfare objectives.
