Purpose
The purpose of the IEAC is to provide advice to the Minister on risks and opportunities to ensure Victoria retains its position as a destination of choice for international students, consistent with the role and functions defined in this Terms of Reference.
3.2. Specifically, the role of the IEAC is to:
a) provide advice on significant matters related to national and proposed state level policies affecting the international education sector;
b) Contribute to the successful implementation and review of the International Education Sector Strategy and provide input to related discussion papers, policy proposals and other materials prepared by Government;
c) Act as a conduit to other sector stakeholders across the Victorian international education sector;
d) Conduct research and analysis on emerging opportunities and innovative approaches to improve the competitiveness of Victoria's international education sector; and
e) any other matters referred by the Minister.
