Purpose
The Cattle Compensation Advisory Committee is an industry based committee of representatives which has an advisory function in relation to compensatable diseases and compensation payments. The Committee is established under the Livestock Disease Control Act 1994 .
The functions of the Committee are to advise the Minister for Agriculture about: diseases for which compensation should be payable; the maximum amount of compensation which should be payable; the payments which should be made; and any other matter referred to it by the Minister.
