Purpose
The functions of the Authority are set out in section 6 of the Business Licensing Authority
Act 1998. They are to:
a. administer the licensing and registration provisions of: the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019; the Estate Agents Act 1980; the Motor Car Traders Act 1986; the Owners Corporations Act 2006; the Second-Hand Dealers and Pawnbrokers Act 1989; and
b. carry out any other functions conferred on it by the Business Licensing Authority
Act 1998 or any other Act.
